On Saturday the 7th August, members of the Huddersfield Veterans attended the first social in almost eighteen months. As with all groups, the Covid 19 lockdowns have prevented the Veterans from being able to get together.
The event was well organised, taking place at the Huddersfield Drill hall. It was enthusiastically attended by 45 members of the Association. Enthusiasm for the first in-person meet up for well over a year was enormous, and hopefully marks a return to normal gatherings for the members.
Our thanks to Josh, a venture scout , who is working toward his Duke of Edinburgh Award and helped out as part of his community service for the award.
It was great to meet up again, and all members would like to extend their thanks to the committee for making it happen. Here’s to the next one!
