Scarborough, 2013

Prior to leaving Huddersfield, the Veterans were mustered and inspected by our Chairman, Major S. Armitage, before making their way to the coach for the journey to Scarborough. A short stop was made at the Ham and Cheese Inn, Scragglethorpe, for coffee and biscuits, after which we resumed our journey and arrived at the Palm Court Hotel.

After lunch had been partaken, guests, Committee Members and Veterans were requested by our Publicity Officer, Mr Robert Sugden, to form up outside the hotel for the annual photograph.

For the rest of the afternoon most Veterans made their way by the cliff railway to the promenade to take in the delights of Scarborough, although some only made it to the British Legion Club!

Departing the Palm Court we made our way to the Mercure Hotel at Wetherby, where a most enjoyable evening meal was provided.

Having paid the bill and thanked the staff for the excellent service we once again boarded the coach for our journey home.
