The Territorial Army Centre, Huddersfield

Located on the edge of the town centre, just off the ring road and surrounded on three sides by the University of Huddersfield, the TA Centre is a grand old Victorian building purpose-built to accommodate the Territorial Army with funds raised by the people of Huddersfield.

Set over two stories on two wings, the main hall covers approximately 600 square metres with an impressive domed roof rising to the full height of the building. It is capable of seating 150 making it very suitable for lectures, conferences and exhibitions or social events such as wedding receptions, dances, balls, formal dinners or as rehearsal space.

The TA Centre also boasts a dedicated band practice room ideal for local bands or small orchestras.

Huddersfield & District Army Veterans Association

The Association was founded in 1897 by a group of Huddersfield businessmen who saw a need to provide a welfare service for Veterans of the Crimea. For over 100 years the Association has kept the Veterans profile in the public eye, lest they be forgotten, and still provides a welfare service to today's Veterans, which includes Outings, Socials, Dinners and help in time of need.
